While the SEL trim has a few standout performance enhancements, there is no difference in the capabilities of the S and SE trims.
Appearance
The 2023 Taos is designed with a slightly angled, defined hood and smooth descent across the roof. The sides receive a boost of character from upper and lower definition lines, black molding, and a premium air vent near the front wheels. The nose is captivating, with chrome upper and lower accents lining the wide grille. The headlights link to the grille and have upper and lower lines of definition. The bumper features a striking, metallic element with pointed air vents on the sides. The Taos S gives you 17-inch alloy wheels and roof rails. The SEL adds 18-inch wheels, tinted rear windows, and heated outside mirrors.
Features
There are captivating differences between the available cabin and safety features for these two trim levels. The Taos S includes a four-speaker sound system, onboard Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 6.5-inch display screen, a blind-spot warning, and forward collision sensing with auto braking. The IQ.Drive safety features are optional with the S trim and standard with the SE trim. These items include emergency assistance, adaptive cruise control, an active blind-spot monitor, and lane keeping. In addition, the SE trim adds wireless device charging, a six-speaker audio system, wireless smart device app connections, USB ports, a larger central display screen, heated front seats, a remote engine start, and faux leather trim on the seats.
