Serving Troy, MI

Are you ready to upgrade to your midsize crossover SUV? With lofty expectations, your gaze may quickly settle on the Volkswagen Atlas. The Atlas has only been on the road for a few years, and it has made an excellent name for itself within that short period. Are you wondering how the Atlas compares to a mainstay in the market, such as the Grand Cherokee? The Grand Cherokee is also a midsize crossover SUV. It is priced slightly higher than the Atlas at the base MSRP level, which is only the beginning of their many differences.

The Atlas has a commanding exterior that is illustrated by new angles and lean lines. The three chrome bars that run across the extended grille directly trend into the LED light beams in the headlights. Chrome accents on the lower front fascia, sides, and lower rear fascia highlight the elegance of the Atlas. Additional exterior features include dual exhaust tips, a remote power liftgate, 20-inch alloy wheels, integrated cornering, and fog lights, and more. The Grand Cherokee retains a comparable look to its recent predecessors. The vertical bars in the grille stand in direct contrast to the separated LED headlights. The lower foglamps are also spaced apart from the grille and headlights. Throughout the Grand Cherokee’s exterior, you will find some metal accents and modest definition.

Inside the 2020 Atlas, you will find premium features blended into a contemporary design. These features include a wireless charging pad, a navigation system, USB ports, a digital instrumentation gauge, a second digital screen for the infotainment system, remote start, a Fender sound system. Notably, the Atlas is a three-row vehicle while the Grand Cherokee only has two rows of seats. The Grand Cherokee also has a downward-trending center console, a digital display screen, smart device connectivity, a sound system, and other gear.

As is the case with all Volkswagen models, the Atlas is engineered to protect drivers and passengers with superior safety technologies properly. Some of these are an overhead view camera, dynamic road sign assistance, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and numerous additional features. The Grand Cherokee has three safety technology packages available across its trim line. The base package includes blind-spot monitoring and parking assistance.
